Cellular Service Provider Ratings
Verizon Wireless Service Rating:
4/5 stars
Verizon customers are generally satisfied with their phone service
and Verizon contracts. The average Verizon user experiences few
"dropped" calls, and the Verizon coverage extends to most
places. In addition, Verizon users laud the Verizon InNetwork, which
allows all Verizon users to talk to one another without incurring
expense. However, many Verizon users also complain of a poor customer
service relation department, average phones, and expensive plans.
For consistent coverage and the InNetwork, Verizon is the optimal
choice.
Sprint PCS: 3/5
stars
Sprint is known for its flexible rate plans, clear phone calls,
and strong reception in most areas. However, Sprint users note their
frustration with not being able to get reception in entire cities
and the frequent roaming charges. Sprint's customer service department
also leaves a lot to be desired. Overall, if you are on a budget,
Sprint is a good company to go with (provided they work in your
area).
Cingular Wireless: 4/5
stars
Many Cingular customers reported satisfaction with their cell phone
service company, mostly due to Cingular's ingenious "Rollover"
minute plans. The Rollover plans allow customers to transfer unused
minutes and roll them on to the following month for up to 12 months.
However, Rollover minutes are currently only available on plans
costing $39.99 or more a month (check Cingular's website for more
details and current plans). In addition, Cingular customers often
complain of not being able to get reception in most areas. In all,
Cingular is a great company if you can get decent reception. Their
Rollover minutes are invaluable, also.
